1st Lt. Rebecca Babb, Esquire

Email address:     Becky@WhiskeyUniv.com

Rebecca (Becky) Babb has been a member of Whiskey University since December of 2020. In 2016, Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas, and Degrees. Becky earned her Bourbon Diploma in February 16th, 2021.

Becky is an H.R. Compliance Specialist with AAIM Employers’ Association in St. Louis, Missouri. Becky grew up in Ohio but has lived all over the U. S. and in Europe. Born in Tiffin, Ohio, Becky attended the University of Findlay to earn her Bachelors’ Degree in Business, her M.B.A. from Ashland University, and her J.D. from the University of Toledo. She has worked for the Wall St. Journal, is licensed in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida specializing in civil litigation and is now working as a HR Compliance Specialist serving the Missouri and Illinois markets. Becky is married to Anthony Lawson.

Becky earned her Associate Degree after passing 16 classes on July 7th, 2021. On January 12th, 2022, Becky earned his Bachelor of Science Degree with 25 classes, at Whiskey University and the title of “Adjunct Master Bourbon Taster.”

Becky’s journey of discovering the rich dimensions of bourbons and whiskey began while residing in Nashville, Tennessee in 2017. She and her husband began visiting local distilleries in and around Kentucky and Tennessee. There is an explosion of creativity in producing complex, flavorful spirits, attitudes have shifted, and as the drink-ability of bourbon and whiskey continued to emerge her love affair with the many varieties of liquid gold flourished.  Becky remains in awe of how dramatically the world of bourbon and whiskey is changing and is more approachable than ever. She enjoys the flavor, the burn, and the lingering finish of bourbon and whiskey when compared with other spirits.  She is one of the original Missouri Bourbon Women’ Branch Ambassadors and is active in several local St. Louis Bourbon/Whiskey groups. Becky likes her coffee black and her bourbon and whiskey neat. Cheers!
