Major Michael Ksiazek has been a member of Whiskey University since April 2022. In 2016, Whiskey University began offering Certificates, Diplomas and Degrees. Michael earned his Bourbon Diploma with 8 classes completed on June 12th, 2022.
Michael is in his late 20’s and lives in a small town in Central Nebraska. Michael and his Australian Shepherd, Pabst have lived in their new home for a little over a year. Michael has one brother. Michael's parents and brother's family all live in Nebraska within 2 hours of each other.
Michael spends his days as a high school math teacher and coach. He coaches both soccer and basketball and also helps in the announcing booth at football games.
Michael earned his Associate Degree and the title of “Certified Bourbon Taster” after passing 16 classes on July 12th, 2022. Michael's enjoyment of whiskey could be, some would say, an inherited trait. He joined Whiskey University shortly after his parents joined and shared their experience with classes. Being an educator himself, his thirst (no pun intended) for knowledge is a natural trait. Always wanting to learn more and have a greater understanding of the things he enjoys made the university an easy and exciting decision for him. Michael has introduced many of his friends to the world of whiskey and hopes to continue to be able to share and educate others about one of his "favorite subjects".
On September 14, 2022 Major Michael advanced to earn the Title of “Master Bourbon Taster” by earning his Bachelor of Arts Degree at 30 classes and the rank of Captain in the Bourbon Brigade.
Michael continued his education and on March 19, 2023 he earned the Title of "Charted Master Bourbon Taster" by earning his Master of Science Degree at 42 classes.
